Hi,

I have the following formula:

=SUMIF(INDIRECT("'"&C6&"'!A:A"),H1,INDIRECT("'"&C6&"'!C:C"))

How can I amend it whereby the criteria is if cells begin with the text in cell H1?

Thanks in Advance
JP

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Like so:

Excel Formula:
=SUMIF(INDIRECT("'"&C6&"'!A:A"),H1&"*",INDIRECT("'"&C6&"'!C:C"))
