Hello

1) How can I do a sumif on one column and get the sum of anything that is a number?

2) How can I do a sumif on one column and get the sum of anything that greater, equal, smaller that zero?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
A Sumif won't sum text values, so only numbers will be be taken into consideration anyway.

=Sumif(A:A,C1,B:B) for example. A is range, B is values, C is criteria

And to take anything larger than 0...

=Sumif(A:A,">"&C1,B:B)
