Hi,
I've 2 columns, say A and B, up to 10 rows. A1, A2, A4, A7 to A10 got name, A3, A5, A6 blank cells. B1 to B10 all got figures. How can I sum up column B only for those Column A that has name on it.
Your formula works only if the first cell (in this case A1) has value in it. If you copy and paste to C and D column and if cell C1 is blank, your formula can't works.
update your Account details (click your user name at the top right of the forum) so helpers always know what Excel version(s) & platform(s) you are using as the best solution often varies by version. (Don’t forget to scroll down & ‘Save’)
investigate XL2BB for providing sample data to make it easier for helpers by not having to manually type out sample data to test with or to guess what you actually have.
