Hi having problems with Tax and NI i understand tax thresholds but i cant seem to work out the correct equation.
my issue is say i earn £35,000 per year i have a tax code of 1350M which allows for £13,500 before tax is due the rest is 20% this bit is fine.
i get paid 4 weekly but my payslip show tax deducted for the first 4 weeks so therefore I'm paying forward the tax as i haven't yet earned enough to reach the first threshold.
So how do i work out my 4 weekly tax for each of the thirteen payslips because the £35,000 annual figures will also change due to overtime or sickness etc through the course of the year
all the sites mention the Tax bands but none how to break it down to a formula for the 4 weekly payslips.
I hope this is clear as to what i'm trying to achieve i have attached a payslip buy way of an example thanks in advance for any help.
