Text Data Criteria Validation

I have posted several Qs on this board and have always gotten immediate, CORRECT guidance.

Here is my newest dilema: I want to make a data criteria validation rule that the cell must contiain "MGC*" somewhere in the cell, and if no "MGC*" in the cell a STOP error alert will pop up.

I'm pretty sure all you experts can answer this with your eyes closed.

How about:

Data -> Validation -> Custom -> =SEARCH("MGC*",A1)
