Hello. My apologies if this was previously discussed. My work just switched me to a new computer. I am now running Windows 7 from XP and I am now on Excel 2013 from 2007. I am trying to import a fixed with text file to excel. I clicked on Data>Get External Data>From Text and attempted to add the break lines as I have in the past but the number of columns I have is larger than the window. When I scroll to the right. My previous break lines shift so I no longer capture the data as intended. Is there a setting I need to activate or a patch I need to download? I don't know if I am using the right terminology but I can't find any other discussion of this online.

I know I can probably do this in multiple steps but for automation purposes, this defeats the purpose.

Thanks,
Josh

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
