The letter N is replacing the Decimal point in Excel 97

Hi, When I open any of my Excel worksheets all the decimal points have been changed to the letter 'N'. Could someone tell how to fix this and what's causing this error. When I open the same files from another PC on the network, they open normally. Any help will be greatly apperiacted. Thank you.

Hi, welcome to the (new and Improved) board. Check out your regional settings, that's probably the cause of this mess.
