Any way to set up a file such that it becomes unusable after a certain time? For example, say I want to send a file to a client but I only want them to have access to it for 7 days. After that, the file would still exist but a macro would prevent it from opening. Is this possible?

If it is, the Board gurus will know how to make it happen.

Thanks,
Codias

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
You're right-- a good starting point. But you can disable macros to get into the file and avoid the test. Also, I was hoping for an example with the hour and minutes so I could test the macro without waiting for the next day.

I'm new to VB code, and wouldn't know how to go about it. If possible, I'd like to put the code somewhere it can't be avoided (even if macros are automatically or manually disabled).

Thanks,
