Today's date calculation

Hello everyone,

I'm using the below formula to populate a cell with today's date when the adjacent cell contains data.

=IF(ISBLANK(B164)," ",NOW())

Can anyone confirm how to adapt this formula so that upon entry of the date is becomes 'locked', meaning that when the sheet is opened the following day (or any other day in the future), it does not change to that days date?

Try the below. Got this from a page and it worked. A column for the data to enter and B column records the time:-

=IF(A1<>"",IF(AND(B1<>"",CELL("address")=ADDRESS(ROW(A1),COLUMN(A1))),NOW(),IF(CELL("address")<>ADDRESS(ROW(A1),COLUMN(A1)),B1,NOW())),"")
