Toolbar Problems

Hi,

I had a look, but am unsure how to word this question, so no luck in finding it in the forums. If it does exist!

Usually when I click on a tool in the toolbar. Eg. fill, text colour, border - something with a drop down list it selects the last used function. Eg. Fill in red. unless I click on the arrow to bring up the drop down menu.

however, on my new laptop, a surface pro 3 running Excel 2013 it always brings up the drop down menu without any sort of memory.

It isn't the biggest problem, but can get annoying, especially when creating borders or wanting to merge & centre things (yes, it has an arrow, so up comes the drop down menu!)

Has anyone else suffered from this problem? Or can point me in the right direction of finding an answer?

Many Thanks

Tom G
