I often copy a page of info from a website then paste to notepad, then Excel. I find the data is usually listed vertically in COL A without a way to easily transpose or manage and sorting removes the initial associations.
Example below.

Book1
A
1alphastring 1
2alphastring 2
3alphastring 3
4alphastring 4
5alphastring 5
6alphastring 6
Sheet2

So, in this case, I wish to keep the association of alphastring 1 to alphastring 3 only.

What tool do I use?
Thank you

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Extract data (if permissions are ok) using Power query in excel, you can easily transform the data in excel using this
