Is there any built-in function to read another cell's formatting? Let's say A1's formula is "=B1" and B1 is formatted as bold; is there a simple way to make A1 bold as well? (Yes, I can think of a couple of ways to do it in VBA, I was just trying to keep it simple)

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
I am having trouble doing this as well, except I am linking to cells in a different workbook. Would like to be able to format the parent cell and have the dependent cell be automatically updated. Looking forward to someone's clever solution - have been beating my head against this for several days now. Thanks in advance.
