I have a calendar that has a color-coded tracking system on the top and a spot for names on the left. The Top rows (A10- AX10) and the left columns A79-C70 are locked in position. The row beneath the total number tracked (D10-AX10) has a date row that changes based on "todays date" which is linked to (A5).

What I want is for the cells that contain the tracking code and color to delete when the cells change and shift all the data to the left when the date changes.

Cells D10 -AX10 have the dates that shift left every day.

Cells D-AX 11- D-AX 79 have the code. I want these cells to delete, and shift left with the date.

There is a formula that deletes the data in cells D11-79 (that has to be checked to be used correct?) but there isnt any formula for cells to shift data to the left or shift with the dates, which is what im looking for.

you don't need vba for what you're trying to do.

Just create a data worksheet that only collects your data (and maybe a few calculations on the individual records (row) only if you want them there.
If your data is not HUMUNGOUS (after more than 50,000 records i've been told excel performance slows down) then store your data in a TABLE. This allows you to better understand formulas because of how the references work.

Then another worksheet would have pivot tables, charts.

There are many great tutorials on youtube that are free and have workbooks that you can down load and work along with the tutorial.
Look for these you tube channels:

MyOnlineTrainingHub

MyOnlineTrainingHub has a video of 10 things to never do in excel which is very helpful. Especially for beginners because if you never start with bad habits or routines you will never fall into the traps you should avoid.

Best wishes.

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
