I have been pulling my hair out trying to enter this equation and have no idea how to get this to work properly or what is the right format to get the answer out of Excel.

365 COS (130)

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
is that supposed to be:
=365*cos(130*PI()/180)

Hi

Or the equivalent:

=365*COS(RADIANS(130))

Don't forget that the parameters in the trigonometric functions in excel are in radians.

Did you see PGC's reply in Message #3... I think it is more "self documenting" and will be easier to understand when you look back at the formula six months from now.

Ah yes. I understand that Excel likes to do radians by default. I will definitely keep that in mind.
