Unable to save sheet with source data when sheet linking to data is in use

Hi All,

I have a workbook that contains forecast data and another workbook with a query that pulls information from the forecast sheet using a power query.

The file with the power query is used by multiple users over a network. However, when the file with the query is open, I am unable to edit and save the source workbook (states file is in use/read only).

Ideally I'd like the query to update on opening, then the link would break until the data is refreshed again. Is this possible, or is there another command that will allow the user to save the source file when the linked file is open without getting the file in use/read only error?

Thanks in advance!
