I have mistakenly hidden the left side of the VBA worksheet and can't figure how to unhide it. The part that gives the workbook name, worksheet/s and modules on a Mac. How to unhide it to get it back to see the top part of the enclosed pic. Thanks

The issue has gotten worse. Is there way to get back to a "normal" window in VBA where Procect explorer is on the top left, the properties window is underneath it and the right side is reserved for viewing/composing VBA ? Is there like a "new window" to accomplish this?

Under Tools > Options > Docking
Do you have project explorer checked ? If not try checking it.

I do not have Tools>Options >Docking on a Mac
Here is current pic of what I have. If I close the workbook and reopen it the bottom right side goes away and I can get it back by going to View>Code but it doesn't stick. Also, the properties window comes back but is a floating window. The only area that sticks is the Project window but can't resize it

Some progress. I seem to have gotten Project,Properties and VBA area all horizontal. How do I get Project to live on the top left, Properties to live underneath it and the VBA area (Code area) to take up the right two thirds or so of the screen? I assume it is a matter of moving these windows but no clue how to. Here's a pic…and Thanks

Does right clicking in the title bar of either projects or properties windows give you a dockable option ?
If so select that.
In windows I get that for the Properties window but not for the Project window.
Try applying unticking the box in the Options screen applying that and going back in and ticking it again and applying the change. In the hope that triggers it going back to the left.

title bar ticking> shows greyed out help icon
unticking and reticking dock no help

Can you try some of the suggestions here:

Using Find to look for the phrase I copied, maybe try this one first:
• Simple steps. Works for Mac , maybe windows too
Then perhaps
• Solution Using a Mac and Excel 2016.
• Then the one directly below it.

If none of those work at this link they are suggesting
• deleting the com.microsoft.excel folder
I don't know enough about this to advise this so at least maybe rename it rathen than delete
