I am using option buttons from the Forms toolbar but when I protect the sheet (even though both the cell where the option button lies and the option button itself is unlocked) its still telling me that the cell is protected, how do i protect the sheet so that you can still use the option(radio) buttons?

Hey :)

Is the option button linked to a cell?

If so the linked cell needs to be uinlocked also.
