using a name to pull data from a database but having people with the same name

Can someone help me,
I have been given a Database to update and found a problem with it that I do not know how to fix. the database uses Vlookup to extract data from another sheet using the Name of a person as the reference point to look up against.

The problem is that there are many people with the same names and so they all pull back the data from the first person with that name. Is their any way to solve this?

This is why many organisations use unique user ID numbers or codes of some kind.
