Using wav file in excel 2010

Hi, i have an embedded wav file in excel by using insert. -> object. But how do I play it without opening windows media player? Whenever I double click the file or call for it, it opens windows media player. Any idea how should I do using vba code? Please help. Thanks.

Hi, but that codes is not for embedded wav files. How can I use it in embedded one?

Assuming that i use the codes below.

Right click the object and choose Assign Macro.

as in in the macro, what is the codes? cos the above codes is not embedded to excel

I think you'll need to specify the path to the wav file.

If is embedded inside, how do i assign it? If i assign it, it wont be embedded rite?

You just need to change this part of the code:

    WAVFile = "dogbark.wav"
    WAVFile = ThisWorkbook.Path & "\" & WAVFile

It doesn't matter that it's embedded.
