Hi,

I have a sheet containing dates in a calendar format. I am looking for VBA code that I can assign to a button to select the cell that contains today’s date.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
This assumes that the button is on the sheet that has calendar format, and that today's date appears no more than once on that sheet.
VBA Code:
Sub FindToday()
Dim Dte, Fnd As Range
Dte = Date
With ActiveSheet.UsedRange
    Set Fnd = .Cells.Find(CStr(Dte), LookIn:=xlFormulas, lookat:=xlWhole)
    If Fnd Is Nothing Then
        MsgBox "Can't find today's date - exiting sub"
        Exit Sub
    End If
    Fnd.Select
End With
End Sub
