I've had help on the forum with a question relating to using the conditional formatting function to look down 2 columns and highlight duplicate entries - this is the formula:
=countif(b2:b6,a2)>0
what I'm looking for is the following:-
Is there a way of finding out which cell refers to the target.
e.g. if I have 5,000 in cell a2 and the duplicate entry is found in cell B4. Is there a way of displaying that cell? As some debit entries may be for 45,000 (a4) and the credit entries are made up from two entries consisting of 1 at 30,000 (b5) and another at 15,000 (b6)
so a4 = b5 & b6
