Hello,

I wonder if someone could possibly help me with my VLOOKUP formula?

I have invoice numbers in column A and a second report on the same worksheet with different invoice numbers in column D.
I basically need Excel to me whether or not the invoice number in cell A3 is missing from cells D3:D500. If the invoice number IS in column D then I need excel to return the word "NO". If the invoice number ISNT in column D then I need excel to return the word "YES"

Please can anoyone help? I have tried IF with a VLOOKUP as well as IF with ISNA VLOOKUP :( but it still doesn't seem to be correct!

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
You could use:

Excel Formula:
=IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(A3,$D$3:$D$500,1,FALSE)),"YES","NO")
