Vlookup formula with changing table name

I want to use vlookup formula but need to refer to a cell value to change the table name.
The reference works in a cell but I have not found a way to use a formula to refer to a cell to reference a table. How do I do this?

probably using indirect()
so you can have the range to use or a named range

A SMALL sample spreadsheet, around 10-20 rows, would help a lot here, with all sensitive data removed, and expected results mocked up and manually entered, with a few notes of explanation.

OR if you cannot get XL2BB to work, or have restrictions on your PC

then put the sample spreadsheet onto a share

I only tend to goto OneDrive, Dropbox or google docs , as I'm never certain of other random share sites and possible virus.
Please make sure you have a representative data sample and also that the data has been desensitised, remember this site is open to anyone with internet access to see - so any sensitive / personal data should be removed

Indirect works perfectly for my application. I used to do a lot of spreadsheets but retired 12 years ago. I was working up a spreadsheet to use to calculate scores in a fishing tournament for our fishing club. The table needs to change depending on the fish caught. Using sumproduct gives me the totals by fisherman and boat. Our scores are range specific, ie if a trout is between two values it has one score, and between the next two length another and so on.
