Hello, I am trying to paste data via vlookup into a large sheet which contains 2000 rows.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
Pieces of data come in from various sources and often they only apply to certain rows within the spreadsheet.

The only constant piece of reference information I have is the ‘lookup value.’
( Which is the property reference ‘Establishment Number’ which I try to place in column A in all tabs)

I want to be able to return the information from column B on ‘additional info!’ into column H in ‘Property info!’ (These cols are both ‘Location’ (Name)
(i.e, paste in the ‘Location’ Name from ‘Additional Info!’ into ‘Property Info!’.
I also need to be able to do this with any other information which I receive)

However, the row numbers on both tabs do not match because there are often multiple occurrences of the 'Establishment Number' reference on one tab, and there may only be a single occurrence of this reference on the other tab. This means that I cannot specify absolute references for either the copy or paste locations.

I am wondering if there is any way of instructing excel to look up and return the information that I need using the ‘Establishment Number’ references in column A on each tab, and returning the corresponding information from the relative column, such as all ‘Location’ Names in col B which match the ‘Establishment Number’ in Col A, rather than the specific column and cell??

Please help.

S.
