hi Guys,

I need a help in finding Weighted Average in excel. Attached is the Excel data.

Resource Client A Client B Client C Client D Client E Client F Client G
Tgt 80 8 80 8 150 8 150 8 150 8 150 8 150 8
A 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
B 120 31 0 0 0 0 0 0
C 152 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
D 165 0 0 0 0 51 0 0
E 180 0 0 0 0 90 0 7
F 257 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
G 173 0 0 0 173 0 0 0
H 195 0 0 0 42 0 0 0
I 168 0 0 52 109 0 0 0
J 115 0 0 0 0 80 35 0
K 131 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

So, 2nd column is No. orders Processed. 80, 80, 150, 150 .. are the Total Allotted Hrs. '8' is No. Hrs worked in a day. Rest the numbers are No. orders processed under each client.

Please give me excel file alongwith excel formula to find Efficeincy/Weighted Avg.

Regards,
Mahantesh

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Hi. What exactly do you think the results should be for this data, and why ?

Please post the ACTUAL RESULTS FOR THIS DATA, that you expect to see.

Gerald,

It is like: for "Client A", there are 80 orders that need to be processed in '8' hrs, which is no. hrs worked for a day. but if anyone does 64 orders, then what is his efficiency?

So you tell me what it should be please.

Then, if you need help doing that calculation in Excel, that's where I or someone on this board might be able to help.

If you don't know what the answer should be, then you need to work that out for yourself.
Or, if you don't want to do that, try something using Excel's =RAND() function :-)
