Kind of a wierd concept, I can appreciate that.
But, what I'm look for is to do with grades.
For example, one exam is worth 10% of the year and you scored 80/100 and a 2nd exam is worth 40% of the year and you scored 75/100. You haven't done the rest of the exams worth the remaining 50% of the year. WHAT IS THE CURRENT PERCENTAGE MARK?
Because you've only done 50% of the total exams, I would have to SCALE up the ratios: ie make it as if the 50% already done is the whole year by disregarding the 50% not done.
So it would be total weight of exams already completed, which is 50% (10%+40%), then 100%/(50%) which gives me 2. Then multiply both the current weights by the scale: 2 . Then recalculate percentage with NEW weights.
There must be an easier/simpler way of doing this, surely?
Any help is very much appreciated! Thank you!!
