Hey all,
I'm having a weird issue with some of my formats. I have no idea why, but my Number, accounting, Comma Style formats now no longer have commas... instead they are replaced with spaces.

Not a big issue except for when I prepare presentations and the likes and it drives my boss up the wall.

Any and all numbers are always displayed with spaces instead of commas.

I tried creating a custom format though end up with "$ ,397.52" "(,397.52)"

If I press ctrl+1 for the shortcut to formats, the number section has the checkbox Use 1000 Separator ( )

I'm using MS Excel 2010, any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
ah that works,

Under Excel 2007 Excel Options, Advanced, there is a Use system separators Thousands separator [ ].

It looks like that would help solve the issue.

Thanks, that link did help a lot,
jc
