Weird formatting issues in Excel graphs

I have a dashboard of graphs in excel. All the graphs are kept on one sheet with the corresponding data all in separate tabs. I have an issue with two of the charts on the dashboard always being formatted to a lavender color for the column charts and a yellow color for a goal line in the column chart. Also, the data labels on another chart keep disappearing. These two formatting changes only occur when certain data is updated in the data sheets. Does anyone have a clue what could cause this? If I ever plan on automating the updating of the dashboard, this is going to be a huge problem if I can't keep my original formatting intact. Thanks!

OK. Can you explain exactly what's happening here:
I have an issue with two of the charts on the dashboard always being formatted to a lavender color for the column charts and a yellow color for a goal line in the column chart.
... what is the issue? Are you saying that these charts are always the wrong colour? Or is that you always want these charts to always be those colours, but Excel changes them? Or what?
