I noticed something happening today with my workbooks. When I type in a cell and hit enter, the entire row below that cell is bolded. I type in the row below that again and hit enter and again, the entire line below that row is bolded. When I print, the line does not show but I have never seen this before.

Has anyone had this happen? How do I resolve this?

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.

Never saw that before, but the first thing to try is shutting all your programs down and rebooting the computer. Then open Excel and see if it that file still does what you have reported. If so, try shutting Excel down and reopening it (to "clear" things out of memory) and see if the problem exists in any other file. If not, then your original file would appear to have become corrupted... if yes, then it would appear Excel has become corrupted. If it is the file, then you will have to reconstruct the workbook (you should be able to copy/paste the used range from each sheet to sheets in the new workbook, one sheet at a time). If it is Excel, you can try repairing it via Windows Control Panel, Programs and Features app.
