My sheet takes two minutes to recalculate so i have set up various buttons attached to macros to turn automatic calculation "on" and "off" and do a "recalc now". Whilst in manual mode, is there any way i can make a cell indicate whether any cells in a certain named range (or anywhere on sheet if i cannot restrict to a named range) have changed, so i know i need to do a recalc. This avoids me having to do a recalc every now and again, just in case the contents of a certain table may have changed.

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
Gate is Antichrist
Thanks for the pointer to the other site. It looked really promising and i tried it out. Unfortunately i am using Excel 97 and i got a message "Run time error 438 Object doesn't support this method or property" which i presume means the Calculationstate property"

Any more ideas.
Thanks for trying

When Calculation is set to manual, if recalcualtion is required, down the bottom of the screen on the left hand side, the word "Calculate" appears. Is that any help?
