Why does personal workbook cause crash?

Every time Excel (2007) crashes (relatively infrequent but more frequently than I would like) I find that the personal.XLSB workbook has been disabled. I actually use these macros quite a lot. It is a pain to reload the workbook and then restart Excel. It seems obvious that a personal workbook doesn't cause Excel to continuously crash, because most times the macros work fine when a workbook is launched. Does anybody know...

- why crashes always seem to be associated with the personal workbook?
- whether I need to change the workbook?
- whether I can (or should) change some settings so they doesn't always kick out the workbook whenever it crashes?

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
I am having the same problem and have yet to figure out why. Have you gotten any answers on this?

I think I sorted it out; if you attempt to load Excel afresh when you already have another workbook loaded then the system attempts to run two programs at once and the personal workbook file won't load correctly. You should find that there are two Excel programmes (not simply two Excel worksheets) mentioned on your status bar. Simply cancel the second program and load the worksheet you are looking for into your already running application. I hope this helps.
