Why is the filename appearing in the macro dialogue box?

Does anyone know why the filenames for most of my macros are appearing in the macro dialog box (in Excel 2010) and, more importantly, how to get rid of them?

Example: PERSONAL.XLSB!ClearFill

Thanks!
Doug

Hello Doug and welcome to the Board
Normally, filenames will appear when there is some error that will prevent you from running macros, for example:

  • Macros are not enabled
  • There are two macros with the same name on the same module
Can you execute macros while seeing the filenames? Do you have macros with the same name in different open workbooks?
