Hello

I have noticed especially when I open too many MS Office files, that when I point to a cell with my mouse and click, a cell well offset is actually selected. There seems to be an offset between the mouse pointer and the cell actually selected in Excel.

I suppose this is a bug, is anyone aware of it and know how to fix it?

Thanks!

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Is the window maximised? I remember a similar problem happening when excel was not full screen, but maximising it resolved the issue.

Problems like this are more likely to be device / system issues than excel issues.

I have the same issue, and when this issue appears I can also not scroll with the mouse in excel. I can use the scroll to zoom with Ctrl. So the scroll works fine.

This mostly happens when I use filters in excel. And I have to close all open excel windows and then it works again.

Excel version is 365.

Any others experiencing this?

I've had this on 2 different devices, but both had Office 365.

And: I can't use the arrow keys either to move. It's frozen. The arrow keys move around, so i see the cell values in the formula windows. but the excel view is stuck.

Are you guys using Logitech mouse? I'm using logitech MX3 and I'm thinking this issue might be caused by the mouse.

I have MX Master 3 myself. But I also run 3 screens. Which can be the issue. I will test this week when I get a new widescreen, to see if that resolvs it. :)

I have the issue on various laptops using touchpads so definitely not a mouse/screen issue!

I've been suffering with this disgraceful issue for 6 months now. Microsoft unwilling to help.
