I have a main QC workbook that as it opens the first time it gets renamed as it is saved. I am trying to write a macro that opens a trend data workbook, transfers data and then switches back to the main QC workbook. How do I specify this workbook in code when the name will be different from one workbook to another? This is also critical as the user may have more than this main QC workbook open.

Thanks,

Robert

Excel Facts

Square and cube roots
The =SQRT(25) is a square root. For a cube root, use =125^(1/3). For a fourth root, use =625^(1/4).
assign the workbook files names to a variable then you can use that to switch between them. Like this

File1 = ActiveWorkbook.Name
