I am running excel 2016 and have a file that starts automatically. If I don't load it on launch, it works fine. However, if it loads automatically, I get an error on a bad database call. I would like to step through the code to find where the error is, but I can't step through the code when it loads automatically. How do I suspend the code to step through it on an auto launch?

Much appreciate any advice?

Regards,
Odsmith

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Add the word Stop to the beginning of the macro.

Thanks!!! That worked great. However, to clarify, the stop command only works if the vba code is not password protected. If it is password protected, it blows right by that command.

If the VBA project is password protected, you'll need to unprotect it first
