Hi,
Basically i have names that get added in Column A and they are hilighted yellow. I put the correct names in Column B right next to it after that. I need to clear the color yellow in column A when i put the correct names in B and press enter.

Conditional formatting ? Any help thank

Excel Facts

Which came first: VisiCalc or Lotus 1-2-3?
Dan Bricklin and Bob Frankston debuted VisiCalc in 1979 as a Visible Calculator. Lotus 1-2-3 debuted in the early 1980's, from Mitch Kapor.
You can use CF to do this
Highlight the cell in "A" and then create a new CF rule.
Select the Use a formula line and insert the formula below....assuming the cell is A1

Code:
=$B$1<>""

format as required

ok I just tried this and got it to work, but I cant get it to go in range. I need it to look at name in A:A that are yellow and when added next to in in B:B then clear A:A color. I got this part done but only doing it at a set range A10 to B10 or something like that.

Start:

Excel 2016 (Windows) 32 bit
A
B
402
WillianWilliam
403
Espos
404
Zachar
Sheet: Name Correction

Results I need:

Excel 2016 (Windows) 32 bit
A
B
402
WillianWilliam
403
EsposESPOSIT
404
ZacharZachary
Sheet: Name Correction

I followed your approach and works I just need more range. thanks

when you want to set up an entire range you highlight that range first.....then create the rule !!

I think then i'm doing something wrong. I highted the whole range already in Column A then i used your formula in new rule and made that range B:B with $ signs but it did nothing. My situation is sometime i can have 2 yellow cells maybe 4 then the next time 6. i need to just clear the Cells in Col A that are yellow if text is next to it in B

hi its called Forum Tools in top of my excel. Its an Add in and I probably added this awhile ago. Trying to think how I did it, but I got it from this site on how to do it. It copys the range and generates BB Code and then it shows the results as you can see above
