FollowHyperlink Failure

I have a link in a spreadsheet in a cell, referring to itself and then this code:

Private Sub Worksheet_FollowHyperlink(ByVal Target As Hyperlink)
    
        MsgBox "test"
        
End Sub

Yet when I click the link I never see the test. I check to make sure events are enabled and they are. What's up? Any ideas?

UPDATE:
Used this instead, and worked. Still weird:

Private Sub Workbook_SheetFollowHyperlink(ByVal Sh As Object, ByVal Target As Hyperlink)
MsgBox "test"
End Sub
