Hi,

I am trying to do index match on same row is this possible?

EG:

Apple10/02/2018car12/03/2017
Orange11/02/2018bus23/02/2018
Banana12/02/2018van16/12/2018

I want to search the top row for "car" and when it finds it return the adjacent cell so "12/03/2018". The word car could be anywhere in row A1:Z1

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
Doesnt work on the same row =INDEX(A2:D2,MATCH("Car",A2:D2,+1)) just returns car i need it to return 12/03/2017
