e.g. if value of B2 is between 0 and 500, round the number entered to the nearest 5,

if the value entered is between 500 and 1000, round the number to the nearest 10,

if the value entered is between 1000 and 2000, round the number to the nearest 25.

Many thanks.

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Welcome to the MrExcel board!

Try

=ROUND(B2/LOOKUP(B2,{0,500,1000},{5,10,25}),0)*LOOKUP(B2,{0,500,1000},{5,10,25})
