AutoFill with Autofilter

I have a 2500 row database with 30 columns. I use Autofilter and in the past have been able to autofill sequential numbers. It has quit working for some reason (even holding down the Ctrl key). I am having trouble Outlook using Word as the editor and have performed a "Repair" on Office so maybe it is re-install time? I may have changed something in the 'Options' dialog? Can any one help?
