Automatic update of links

I have a worksheet which holds a list of data records.
An external application is then called which reads these records and creates a separate worksheet containing a result for each of the data lines in my worksheet.
I have created a link from my sheet (at the end of each data record) to the corresponding line on the results sheet, but the values don't update until I open the results sheet (which I don't want to do) and then switch from this back to my worksheet.

Can anyone advise how to refresh these links (even using F2 and enter doesn't have any effect!)

Thanks

Steve

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
What do you mean by "until I open the results sheet"? Is it a worksheet or a workbook? What do your link formulas look like?

Like Andrew asked, are the targets of the links an actual Excel format workbook or something else like a csv file maybe?

Sorry didn't make myself clear.

Tha data records and VBA code are in workbook1

The external application is called and creates Results.xls, a separate workbook with a single sheet.

My formulae directly refer to the cells in "Results.xls"

When the code stops, Workbook1 still has the formulae in place, but the values are not updated.
When I open Results.xls, then switch back to workbook1 I see the updated values, but I cannot find a way to achieve this without manually opening Results.xls
Ideally I just want to update everything at the end of the code.

Hope this helps!
