Hello,

I am stumped on an issue....I have a large database (>10^6 rows). I need help to find a formula that will average the MGD values (see below) by month. The data has a date range from about 02/01/2010-02/01/2013.

Another issue that I have to deal with is the "Facility Name" column. There are about 30 facilities and each of these facilities have MGD data for the specified time period. The image below shows a small sample of data that consists of MGD values for some dates at Auburn WWTP facility.

Thanks in advance for the help!

I think a pivot table is going to be the way to go for this. Doing that you can break the data into only the month and/or facility you care about, assuming the columns are set up correctly. You might need to throw in another column to pull the month out of the data, to make things easier. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I will have to go learn a bit more about pivot tables before attempting this.
