I am using EXCEL 2010.

Problem: I am seeking to develop a formula that allows me to enter
a starting or base date (example: January 1, 1970),
a distinct # of days (an integer),
and gives me as a result the month/day/year that the resulting date falls on.
example: starting date : 1/1/1970
# days : 31
resulting date: 2/1/1970.

Can anyone get me started?

Thanks.

Remove leading & trailing spaces
Save as CSV to remove all leading and trailing spaces. It is faster than using TRIM().
Hi,

With base date in A1 and days in B1, the result

=A1+B1

Is this what you are looking for?

Ok. that was very simple.
My concern was for the leap years when calculating dates 40 years in the future.
EXCEL must calculate these automatically as all of my testing gives accurate results with your solution.
