Calculate today's profit

I have a stock book in which profit is calculated by a formula and dated as per the date.
I want to calculate today's profit. how can i do it.

here is the photo with columns and row numbers
i input the following formula
=SUMIF(P3:P1048576,TODAY(),O4:O1048576)
but it didn't workout it gives nothing when i input todays date and profit

What do these formulas return?

=ISNUMBER(O3)
=ISNUMBER(P3)

Both return TRUE

The range of O was from O3:O1000

With your sample data:

=SUMIF(P:P,TODAY(),O:O)

returns 15000. What do your dates look like if formatted as mm-dd-yyyy hh:mm:ss?
