calculation gets set to manual on one computer only

I have a client for whom I have developed a set of intricate spreadsheets. There are many instances where calculation is set to manual and reset at the end of the procedure. On one particular computer the calculation mode gets reset to manual whenever a particular file is opened. Opening the same file on any other computer does not cause the calculation to reset to manual. There is no worksheet_open procedure in the offending file. It gets reset to manual before any code I am aware of runs. I am pretty sure it even happened once or twice when I simply created a new workbook; but, that problem was not re-producable on further testing. This happens when opening the same file (or other files created from the same template) on only one computer. The files are in a shared network location. They have no other macro-enabled spreadsheets other than the set I have developed; that I can find.

Any ideas what could be going on? Or ideas of things to test?

Thanks

Ken
