Hi all

Hoping someone can help me with this:

I have a column with DOB entries like this Aug 27 1982 - I need it displayed as 27/08/1982.

Aug 27 1982 is not a "date format" in Excel so when I try to display it as "Short Date" it does not work, please help?

Thanks
Caroline :)

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Select your column of DOB then use Ctrl + 1 to go into Format Cells, then at the bottom left select Custom, then on the type line use dd/mm/yyyy

D = Day
M = Month
Y = Year

Hi. Try this. Select the dates, Data > Text to Columns, tick Delimited, click Next twice, tick Date and select MDY then click Finish.
