Character within a cell

Hi guys,

I'm doing a printout of a till sheet and I am wanting to place characters, only small in the bottom left hand corner of cells in red. I already have standard text in the cells but also require these extra characters.

Any ideas??

I have attached an image hope you get it, the grid is 10 high by 16 wide, you will see that I have started what I need to achieve by laboriously entering individual text boxes to give me the individual characters that I require.
