Hi!

When I enter this formula, I get this error, "Circular Reference Warning...One or more formulas contain a circular reference and may not calculate correctly..."

Here is my formula:

=P3*(1+Q17/100)

cell P3 = 66,255
cell Q17 = -100

Just to experiment, I changed cell Q17 to 50.0 just to see if the error still occurs and it does.
What can I do to satisfy this error?

Hi

Where are you entering the formula?

Are the values in P3 and Q17 number values that you type in, or are those values the result of a formula? Which formula?

Usually when you add a formula with a circular reference excel draws an arrow pointing to the reference that is causing it. Does this not happen in your case?
