Comparing 2 Pivot Tables on same excel sheet

I am not sure if what I am asking for is even possible but I would like to compare sales data from two different years with 1 chart on top of the other. The issue I am running into is when change my filters on the top report it can run into my second pivot table causing an error saying a pivot table cannot overlap another pivot table. Is there anyway that when I change my filters requiring more rows or less rows excel will automatically do this for me so pivot tables don't overlap?
