Hi guys,

I hope someone can help me solve the following either by VBA (preffered) or excel function.

Here's a formula if you want to use it.

Array entered**:

=IF(SUM((B2:B7="bob")*(C2:C7=1)),INDEX(D2:D7,MATCH(1,IF(B2:B7="bob",C2:C7),0)),"N/A")

** array formulas need to be entered using the key
combination of CTRL,SHIFT,ENTER (not just ENTER).
Hold down both the CTRL key and the SHIFT key
then hit ENTER.

Just a curious case mr luvbite.

Is there a way, rather than getting the value from Column, as a result can I get the answer in True or False.

Say if Bob1 is presenet True, or if not present False.

Sure, try one of these...

This formula will work in ALL versions of Excel:

=SUMPRODUCT(--(B2:B7="bob"),--(C2:C7=1))>0

This one will work in Excel 2007 and later:

=COUNTIFS(B2:B7,"bob",C2:C7,1)>0
